We went to Denmark because we always wanted to go to Scandinavia and for 2 other reasons. 1. We had a friend there we could visit and 2. My family was arriving at the beginning of October so Mark got to pick where we spent our last free days. He picked Copenhagen, Denmark.
The moment we arrived we just smiled. Everything was so perfect that it was just so easy getting from the airport to our apartment. The weather during our stay was not so great and our Rains jackets that we bought back in Hong Kong came in handy, although we didn’t stand out in the crowd as everyone has a Rains jacket. The brand is Danish after all.
The one thing that really stung us while in Copenhagen was the cost of everything. Despite the cost though the city is so amazing but so similar to Melbourne, although the difference between Copenhagen and Melbourne is that everything works and runs smoothly. Give me a job there and I would move in a heart beat.
One day we travelled out to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art and had a look around. It was the most amazing modern art museum I’ve been to and I really didn’t want to leave. It wasn’t just the art work that took my breath away but the building itself and the surrounding gardens. I could picture myself waking up there everyday and looking out over the gardens and sea out to Sweden.
Denmark was everything I imagined it to be and I know Mark absolutely loved his time there. We both can’t wait to go back to experience more of Scandinavia.
